Christof Keller - Garden Path

With his debut "Garden Path", released on vinyl in 2022 on the Heidelberg-based independent label MuZi (Musikzimmer), Christof Keller makes his first public appearance as a composer and arranger with an exciting fusion of jazz and electronica.

The pieces, carefully curated by editor László Fehér, have been arranged by Christof Keller with great attention to detail in a melange of acoustic instruments, analogue and modular synthesizers, field recordings and digital sounds. In addition to the instruments and sounds mainly recorded by Christof Keller, guest musicians such as Jochen Seiterle on guitar, Heidi Aydt on concert grand piano and Claus Rosenfelder on bass clarinet enriched the recordings before they were mixed in months of detailed work together with Stephan Keller ("The Busters").

"To lead someone up the Garden Path" means something like "to lead astray". Thus, Christof Keller's album also takes the listener on a fantastic journey along strange paths along rich influences from impressionistic to electronic music to jazz to progressive rock, while remaining independent and focused.
