Enjoy Jazz 2022 begins
Opening concert with Sona Jobarteh sold out
On Sunday, October 02, 2022, 8 pm, the opening concert of the Enjoy Jazz Festival will take place. Sona Jobarteh, the first female kora player in West Africa, will be on stage in the Königssaal in Heidelberg Castle. The harp instrument Kora is usually played exclusively by men. The artist, who comes from Gambia and now lives in London, is a celebrated virtuoso on this instrument and will perform together with her four-piece band in front of a sold-out audience.
