Big pre-sale start - world premiere to kick things off

On Saturday, April 27, 2024, 10:00 a.m., advance ticket sales for the 26th edition of Enjoy Jazz will begin. This year, the festival for jazz and other music will take place from Wednesday, October 2 to Saturday, november 2 in Heidelberg, Mannheim, Ludwigshafen and other locations in the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region. Enjoy Jazz will open with a world premiere: pianist Vijay Iyer (USA) and this year's "Artist in Residence" Nduduzo Makhathini (South Africa) will play a duo concert in the BASF Feierabendhaus Ludwigshafen. The festival will conclude with a concert by trumpeter Avishai Cohen (Israel) in the Christuskirche Mannheim. Over the course of four and a half weeks of festival events, Meshell Ndegeocello, Cécile McLorin Salvant, Brad Mehldau (all USA), Naïssam Jalal (France) and Arooj Aftab (Pakistan) will be among the guests. In addition, the musician and entertainer Helge Schneider (Germany) will provide insights into his musical socialization in the series "Music was my first love".
