In cooperation with the city of Neustadt an der Weinstraße, the Enjoy Jazz Festival is presenting events in Neustadt an der Weinstraße for the first time this year. The starting point for the collaboration is a concert at a historically significant location: on Thursday, October 9, 2025, the group Loco Cello led by French cellist François Salque will perform in the ballroom of Hambach Castle. "Jazz, a symbol of freedom and democracy, now enriches the cultural program of the democracy city of Neustadt an der Weinstraße - I am very pleased about the new partnership," said Marc Weigel, Lord Mayor of Neustadt an der Weinstraße at the start of the cooperation. Rainer Kern, founder and director of the Enjoy Jazz Festival, is also enthusiastic: "I know of no other form of music that has been attacked and banned more often worldwide and has given a voice to so many freedom and civil rights movements as a soundtrack - here, at Hambach Castle, which was so important for the European democracy movement, the location and genre come together in a wonderfully fitting way." Armenian pianist Tigran Hamasyan and his trio will also be performing at Saalbau Neustadt an der Weinstraße on november 3, 2025 as part of the 27th Enjoy Jazz Festival.
