Matinee: Nduduzo Makhathini Solo

The third performance of our "Artist in Residence 2024" is coming up. And it promises to be a great moment at lunchtime. After his brilliant quartet concert in the Friedenskirche in Handschuhsheim in 2021, festival director Rainer Kern convinced Nduduzo Makhathini to return to the festival for a solo concert. Now the time has finally come. Incidentally, the last time Kern did this was with Tania Giannouli. And anyone who follows the international press knows what happened. Makhathini will undoubtedly generate similar enthusiasm with his solo concert. After all, the healer and musician has the rare and precious gift of conjuring up a glow in the minds of his audience with every single note.
