Before the concert of the Filippo Vignato Trio at BETRIEBSWERK on Friday, 26 October 2018, Christian Broecking will offer a guided tour through his exhibition "Visualizing Respect", which is currently on display at BETRIEBSWERK. The tour starts at 19:00 and lasts 30 minutes. The exhibition "Visualizing Respect" shows one facet of Broecking's focus on the political dimension of African American music culture. The photos in the exhibition document interview situations on questions of black history and identity. They deal with racism and resistance, the demand for social participation, a redefinition of artistic expression and the experience that respect is still a scarce commodity.
