On august 16, the great Aretha Franklin passed away at the age of 76. The Queen Of Soul inspired people with her powerful vocals and radiant stage presence. Her songs were the soundtrack to the black civil rights and women's movements of the 60s and 70s, and with her cover version of "Respect" she became a leading symbol of equal rights for men and women. We pay tribute to a sensational singer who shaped soul like no other. Rest in peace, Aretha!
