About the venue
The BASF Feierabendhaus is one of the most important event venues in the region. Founded in 1913 as the company's own clubhouse, musicians of international standing have been performing in Ludwigshafen since 1921 as part of the BASF concert program. Guests have included Gregor Piatigorsky (1926), Adolf Busch (1927), Richard Strauss and Yehudi Menuhin, Wilhelm Backhaus (1933), Rudolf Serkin (1941), Carl Orff (1958), Sergiu Celibidache (1959), Alfred Brendel (1971, for the first time), Gidon Kremer
