First release of Enjoy Jazz Records

With a sampler of the new Jewish sound in Germany, the Enjoy Jazz Festival newly founded label Enjoy Jazz Records released its first recording. "Richard Wagner and the Klezmer Band. In search of the new Jewish sound in Germany" was compiled by the artist Yuriy Gurzhy. For Gurzhy, the sampler is "the soundtrack to the search for one's own Jewish identity." The CD "Richard Wagner and the Klezmer Band" contains 18 pieces of music from folk and jazz to psychedelic rock, klezcore and hip hop and is now available in stores. The author, musician and DJ Yuriy Gurzhy published a book of the same name on the subject at the beginning of the year. The idea for the book came from a conversation between Gurzhy and Enjoy Jazz Festival director Rainer Kern.
