amarcord—this is the outstanding vocal ensemble from Leipzig, featuring the tenor voices of Wolfram Lattke and Robert Pohlers, the bass voices of Daniel Knauft and Holger Krause, and the baritone Frank Ozimek. With virtuosity and humor, the five Leipzig-based musicians bring their fusion of classical vocal art and jazz singing to the Enjoy Jazz stage. To this end, they have arranged the great jazz classics for their a cappella ensemble. Their latest release, “Maria” (2025), featuring music by Josquin des Prez, was honored with the International Classical Music Award (ICMA) in 2026. Since October 2023, the ensemble has been the first vocal ensemble to hold a teaching position for ensemble singing at the Leipzig University of Music and Theater. In early 2026, the vocal quintet also founded the amarcord Music & Nature Foundation, which is dedicated to combining the promotion of music with the protection of natural resources.
