"4evaBreezy" - An Evening for Jaimie Branch

The world of jazz remains trapped in mourning mode. On august 22nd, the boundlessly talented, bitingly original trumpeter, singer and composer Jaimie Branch passed away at the age of just 39. She was possessed of a soothing self-irony and broke all the rules in both her playing and her thinking. Enjoy Jazz visitors know only too well: her concerts were an intoxicating full-body soul event. Today we actually wanted to witness this captivating and truly unique art again, this time in the duo Anteloper with Jason Nazary.

Instead, today Jason Nazary and Lester St. Louis now present a musical tribute to their friend, collaborator and co-conspirator Jaimie Breezy Branch. The program includes improvisations and new music inspired by the great composer and trumpeter, as well as pieces by Anteloper and Fly or Die.
