Matinee: Filippo Vignato

In 2018, we celebrated a double anniversary: 20 years of Enjoy Jazz and 5 years of the Filippo Vignato Trio.
The concert at the Betriebswerk was so spectacular that the band released it on the avant-garde label Auand under the title "Heidelberg - Live at Enjoy Jazz". Now the Italian composer and trombonist is returning. And for good reason alone. Because if you listen to his solo performance of "All About Dreaming", for example, which is available online, it becomes clear why jazz blogger Dave Sumner describes Vignato's playing as "an organic melody breaks through like a bold sun parting thick clouds". A wonderfully warm and soft clear sound meets perfectly tempered and controlled growls and masterful overtone playing.
