Ilija Trojanow & Ensemble Modern
In cooperation with the Ernst Bloch Center
Three years ago, the author Ilija Trojanow, who became famous with his book "Der Weltensammler" (The Collector of Worlds), gave the laudation for the 40th anniversary of the Ensemble Modern and accompanied the orchestra's work as a "poetic chronicler". In conversation with Wolfgang Sandner, he explained, "The diversity of the musical projects, the grassroots democratic process, the cosmopolitan composition, the unconditional curiosity, the complicity in composing and staging." In Trojanow's novels, one sometimes overlooks the rhythmic, onomatopoeic, sonic.
But it is precisely this level that is immensely important to him. It now moves to the center: his latest utopian novel "Tausend und ein Morgen" is considered one of the outstanding titles of the literary autumn. In the joint performance with Dietmar Wiesner and Sava Stoianov of the Ensemble Modern, it will not be translated into music, but continued in its musicality. In cooperation with the Ernst-Bloch-Zentrum Ludwigshafen.
