Listening Session: Ashley Kahn
Wednesday, november 4, 2026, Hirsch+Ille Mannheim
Ashley Kahn is a music historian, author, and producer who teaches at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute for Recorded Music. He has written award-winning books on seminal works and figures in music history, including Miles Davis’s “Kind of Blue” and John Coltrane’s “A Love Supreme.” In addition to his work as an editor and journalist (for publications such as Rolling Stone and The New York Times), he produces documentary films.
Knowledgeable hosts present a carefully selected album, played in its entirety on high-quality audio equipment. The Enjoy Jazz Bar offers great music in a relaxed atmosphere and premium drinks—and with Hirsch + Ille, the consumer electronics specialist, as a partner, an outstanding audio experience is, of course, guaranteed.
