SWR Jazz Award: Olga Reznichenko
Saturday, October 31, 2026, BASF Society House
From modern to punk jazz: This year, Russian-born pianist Olga Reznichenko—who lives in Berlin and Leipzig—is receiving the SWR Jazz Prize, which comes with a cash award of 15,000 euros. Reznichenko is considered one of the most exciting up-and-coming talents in German jazz. Whether with her own ensembles, such as the Trio O.R.T. or the “White-Reznichenko Quintet,” as a soloist, or as a sought-after sideman. The jury’s statement reads: “This year, we are honoring Olga Reznichenko, an artist whose musical vision is as unconventional as it is rooted in tradition: Her playing on the piano, keyboard, and keytar is masterful and intense; her handling of highly complex rhythms is ferocious; and her creative imagination in shaping sound is impressive.” At the award winner’s concert as part of Enjoy Jazz , she Enjoy Jazz present a new project at the BASF Gesellschaftshaus, specially curated for this occasion.
