SEO (Silent Explosion Orchestra)

The trade press was unanimously enthusiastic: Jazzthetik described their album as a "masterpiece", Jazzthing heard "an extremely exciting large ensemble" and the Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung recognized a "fresh cell cure for big band jazz". The praise went to the Silent Explosion Orchestra (SEO), a band full of talented young jazz musicians from the west and south-west of Germany. Founder Kevin Naßhan discovered his love of the big band at a summer camp in the US state of Michigan - where the drummer's career in various youth orchestras began. In 2024, his SEO, which has already wowed audiences with a Toto cover program, celebrates its tenth anniversary. Their new program brings music and painting together, based on Mussorgsky's piano cycle "Pictures at an Exhibition". The SEO brings famous paintings such as Monet's "Water Lilies" to life!
