Sullivan Fortner Trio

For more than a decade, Sullivan Fortner has been demonstrating his talent as a pianist, composer, bandleader, and uncompromising individualist in various constellations and projects. The Grammy winner and recipient of the 2026 Larry J. Bell Jazz Artist Award has made a name for himself internationally as a bandleader and dedicated collaborator. He has worked with Wynton Marsalis, Paul Simon, Diane Reeves, Etienne Charles, and John Scofield, among others. His frequent and long-standing collaborators include Ambrose Akinmusire, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Gary Bartz, and Fred Hersch. With his trio, Fortner won the 2024 DownBeat Critics Poll in the "Rising Star Jazz Group" category and the 2026 Grammy in the Best Jazz Instrumental Album category.
