SWR NEWJazz Meeting: Camila Nebbia
Saturday, October 10, 2026, dasHaus
“Only the stones along the path told me the truth about reality”
The SWR New Jazz Meeting was launched in 1966. The basic idea, conceived by Joachim Ernst Berendt, then jazz editor at Südwestfunk, was to provide improvising musicians with the time and space for creative exchange. During a week-long residency in a radio studio, the invited ensembles rehearse a program that they subsequently present to the public. Over the past six decades, guests at this long-standing workshop series have included Albert Mangelsdorff, Don Cherry, Irène Schweizer, Norma Winstone, Anthony Braxton, Django Bates, Joachim Kühn, Sylvie Courvoisier, Rabih Abou-Khalil, Steve Lacy, George Lewis, Ikue Mori, Ingrid Laubrock, and Melissa Aldana, among others. To mark the 60th anniversary, Berlin-based Argentine saxophonist and video artist Camila Nebbia will now bring a new project to life: “only the stones along the path told me the truth of reality” will Enjoy Jazz at the Enjoy Jazz festival.
