Tania Giannouli

Tania Giannouli is undoubtedly one of the signature stars of our festival. Rainer Kern has repeatedly given the pianist the opportunity to try out new projects and collaborations in front of a knowledgeable and empathetic audience, thereby honing her mastery. After her residency in 2022, crowned by a brilliant duo concert with Nik Bärtsch in 2023, her international career has literally exploded.

She received the "Greek International Women's Award" and plays at festivals worldwide. She gave her first ever solo concert at Enjoy Jazz . Now she returns with her first solo CD in her luggage, which has found its way onto numerous best lists. The Korean magazine Jazzspace pays homage to Giannouli's playing with the words: "This music invites the listener to dream of eternity." Not to accept such an invitation would be an unforgivable omission.
