Winter Jazzfest New York presents MonoNeon

As Vanity Fair magazine so beautifully wrote, "Winter Jazzfest shows why the city is rightly called the jazz capital of the world." But even in this mecca of jazz, Winter Jazzfest has earned a permanent place on aficionados' calendars thanks to its impressive lineup. Founded in 2005 as a one-day festival, it now plays more than 20 stages in downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn, spanning eleven days. Many a connoisseur of the scene therefore states that it has become the best jazz festival in North America - and that's saying something.

With MonoNeon, who has been highly praised by Marcus Miller and others, the Winter Jazzfest at Enjoy Jazz presents not only the last bassist of the great Prince, but also a modern style maker. Due to his experimental funky sound, which is partly enriched with deliberate "mistakes" as impulse generators, he has recently been compared again and again with the great composer and music theorist John Cage.
