Last Saturday, the time had finally come and the first workshop of the innovative "Music From Code" project kicked off at the Makerspace Rhein-Neckar in Ludwigshafen. In the workshop, the participants found everything they needed to bring their ideas to life. The children and young people were enthusiastic right from the start and gave free rein to their creativity. In a relaxed atmosphere, the participants worked on joint projects, recorded their own samples, composed melodies, programmed touchpads and much more.
The workshop leaders Miriam Schenkel and Michael Vierling were on hand to explain and demonstrate what one should know about the production of electronic music. The participants used their new knowledge to experiment not only in the Makerspace but also at home. Next weekend, the participants will complete their works and rehearse for the joint performances on 18.10.18 at Port25 Mannheim and on 21.10.18 at TECHNOSEUM Mannheim.
We are looking forward to the upcoming workshop and the final results!
