The Enjoy Jazz from October 2 to november 11, 2017 has been expanded to include 10 additional concerts in advance. These include the Tarkovsky Quartet led by French pianist François Couturier. We have not ignored the outstanding regional jazz scene either. For example, Mannheim-based Alexandra Lehmler is presenting the new release of her album at Enjoy Jazz in 2017, the line-up of which goes back to an Enjoy Jazz concert from 2014. The concert is a cooperation between Montpellier-Haus Heidelberg and the Enjoy Jazz Festival with the kind support of KulturTandem Heidelberg. Former Heidelberg resident Caroll Vanwelden presents the third CD of her Shakespeare sonnets. The concert at Club Speicher7 is presented by Mobisys. In addition, one of the most successful year-round jazz jour-fix formats in Europe, Jazz am Neckar, is taking part in the Enjoy Jazz Festival for the first time with three concert evenings. The "FunkLoch" series of events in Hall 02 will be part of Enjoy Jazz for the second time this year. It is intended to serve the regional music scene as a hub for networking and creative exchange and has invited jazz trumpeter and electronic musician Julian Maier-Hauff as a special guest this year. An Enjoy Jazz will also take place in the Lobenfeld monastery church again this year. Guitarist and sound inventor Oren Ambarchi will be presenting modern electronic sound experiments there.
As always, you can find all information and other concerts in advance in our program.
