"The principle"
Do atoms dream? Can thinking be poeticized? And how can it be translated into music? Can particles dance? In the novel "The Principle" about Werner Heisenberg, Jérôme Ferrari not only describes a contradictory life, but also the disintegration and reshaping of a world view. Guitarist Claus Boesser-Ferrari, percussionist Joss Turnball and filmmaker Mia Ferrari play around passages from it in a multimedia experimental set-up: the uncertainty principle of quantum physics - two complementary quantities cannot be determined simultaneously with arbitrary precision - also applies to art: there is no such thing as the thing itself, only the relation. Wouldn't that be a definition of musical interplay? Doesn't it become even more exciting when an additional component is added, the film, and when everything, a text, the elementary particles of musical systems, image and sound, rush together? Nothing can be calculated on this evening, but creativity, imagination and play slip into the knowledge gap.
