For creative musicians with a special horizon like Julian Maier-Hauff, the format "Zündeln" was developed at the Alte Feuerwache Mannheim. The idea: A regional artist is given the opportunity to invite one or more guests in order to develop and test an idea together in an open-ended way. All branches of the arts are allowed and can be combined. This "open" concept has already been successfully realized several times. In 2022, after the pandemic break, it was Julian Maier-Hauff's turn to ignite. His idea: Why not develop an evening program for a specific space that engages all the senses of the audience and the artists involved. In other words, a musical improvisation for the eye and ear that is as open as possible, opening up genre boundaries and pigeonholes, and also offers something for the taste (cook, bartender) and smell. A sensual experience bath in atmospheres and improvisations - a success with resonance, which in a way now ignites a new stage in the matter of "tasteful music". Hmmm, tastes good!
