Kruder & Dorfmeister

In the 90s, the wind changed - politically, economically, aesthetically. One of the pop culture phenomena that accompanied this process: DJs stepped out of the shadows into the limelight and became stars. Two who shone particularly brightly and turned their solid bourgeois names into a trademark were Peter Kruder and Richard Dorfmeister. Kruder & Dorfmeister have remixed everyone from Madonna to Depeche Mode, and with their albums - above all "The K&D Sessions" (1998), with which they closed the very first Enjoy Jazz Festival - the two Viennese musicians achieved a global career. Their eclectic mixture of downbeat, dub-step, trip-hop and nu-jazz, their two-dimensional sound sculptures and the hypnotic power of their sets made them highly successful trendsetters on the club scene. Like Lennon/McCartney, Simon/Garfunkel or Sonny/Cher before them, they also pursued solo projects at some point, but are now reuniting to bring their stroke of genius from 1998 back to the stage. Ladies & Gentleman, the grand masters of sophisticated electro tracks and the antithesis of Teutonic techno (Vienna, that is!) are coming back to town!
