Matinee: One Kindness, One Love

Every religion has its idea of salvation and improvement, both of the world and of people. Jewish mysticism teaches that the world is spiritually broken and needs repair ("Tikkun Olam"), which is achieved by practicing the religious commandments. In Christianity, faith in Jesus as Redeemer and Savior is supposed to free people from sin and open up the path to eternal life. Muslims see it as their duty to fulfill God's will and build a just and morally upright society. All these ideas are expressed not only in writing, but also in sound. On this day, representatives of the three religions will come together in Mannheim to bring about healing and improvement by making music together. They want to emphasize the unifying elements and build bridges between the faiths through music.
