Matti Klein Soul Trio

In the Matti Klein Soul Trio, three kindred spirits have come together in the name of the groove, blazing their own trail beyond the well-trodden paths of Hammond organ trios. At the heart of the sound are the warm Wurlitzer tones of bandleader Matti Klein, who has already graced the most important jazz clubs in New York, Tokyo, London, and Paris with the funk-jazz formation Mo’ Blow and Brazilian yacht-pop heavyweight Ed Motta. Together with Lars Dieterich and André Klein, Matti Klein’s trio presents songs of vibrant soul jazz and instrumental funk that organically coexist with hip-hop elements and spacey post-rock.
