Tania Giannouli & Nils Petter Molvær

Tania Giannouli, celebrated by DownBeat Magazine as a mixture of "Thunder and Elegance", is a signature artist of our festival. The pianist, who played her first solo concert at Enjoy Jazz , was recently featured on numerous annual best list samplers. She has also made a name for herself as a duo specialist with Nik Bärtsch and countertenor Reginald Mobley, among others. Long before the Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Nils-Petter Molvær led European jazz to unprecedented recognition with his hypnotic patterns. Awards such as the European Film Prize and the German Record Critics' Award were the logical consequence. His album "Khmer" became a milestone and prompted the ECM label to release remix maxi CDs for the first time. This year, Giannouli and Molvær gave a world-exclusive public performance together at Enjoy Jazz . A duo with the potential to write a whole new history within European jazz.
