EFG London Jazz Festival presents Moment's Notice

It's one of the most exciting artistic formats the English capital currently has to offer. The EFG London Jazz Festival and its director Pelin Opcin present Moment's Notice, a cult-celebrated session format that brings together the top creative minds on the British music scene to give free rein to their spontaneity in changing formats.

The project has developed into a unique school of improvisational interplay and has placed musicians such as Shabaka Hutchings, Angel Bat Dawid, Cassie Kinoshi and Ben LaMar Gay in new musical contexts. The evenings, in London as now at Enjoy Jazz, are curated by George Nelson, author of a London jazz photo book and jazz connoisseur. Each evening consists of a duo and a trio playing a 40-minute, fully improvised set before the concert culminates in a quintet set. Like concentric circles, the musical horizon expands from minute to minute.
