Vincent Peirani

Vincent Peirani challenges the flowing rhythm of time: together with Émile Parisien, Tony Paeleman, Yoann Serra and Julien Herné, Peirani presents "Living Being IV: Time Reflections", a work that oscillates between memory and expectation, chaos and structure, transience and momentum. Traditional dance rhythms meet contemporary sounds, to which baroque elements form a poetic counterpoint that is as clever as it is appealing. Peirani's music is characterized by a seemingly infallible certainty of style and taste. Thanks to collaborations with interdisciplinary artists such as Lionel Loueke, he is constantly adding new dimensions to his music. He has also worked with Michael Wollny, who will be playing a solo concert at Enjoy Jazz this year. All these creative impulses constantly underpin and enliven Peirani's complexity. "Time Reflections" is a play with the fractures of time and life - intense, thoughtful and full of energy. The acclaimed accordionist has an important concern behind it: "Music helps me to feel better and sometimes even to be better, and I hope that if something is good for me, it is also good for others."
